The Operations team continues to grow and aims to strengthen the connection of Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain and Environment, Health & Safety (EH) across Collins Aerospace. In this dynamic environment , you will have the opportunity to network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of our operations worldwide. We are looking to add a Senior Operations Support Engineer to our team in Phoenix, AZ. The Senior Operations Support Engineer will be responsible for some of the following.Primary Responsibilities:
Interpretation and Clarification of Electronics Drawings and Schematics. Provide explanations of Design Intent. Proper Application of Specification Requirements. Troubleshoot complex electronic circuits to component level (e.g. microprocessor circuits) and determine true root cause. Be able to use O-Scopes and other bench top test equipment to isolate electronic failures. Working knowledge of the MRB function. To provide Assistance relative to Vendors and other Engineering Support as requested by the plant site. Completion of an Engineering Analysis Report for overhaul and Repair, and to maintain a Data Base for collection of the repair information. Support circuit design groups in an effort to resolve design issues on various end item assemblies. Tracking Trends that produce undesirable results in Building, Testing or Assembling Product, and reporting back to Design for resolution. Assist and train technicians with circuits and component analysis. Generate engineering reports for root cause failure on customer returned products. Interact with Failure Analysis Lab for root cause analysis of electronic components.
Education / Certifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field, Electrical/Electronics Preferred Master's Degree in Engineering or related technical field a plus
Experience/Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years experience in a high volume Electronics Engineering manufacturing environment required OR Master's degree with 3 years experience in a high volume Electronics Engineering manufacturing environment required Progressively complex positions in Electronics Test, Test Maintenance or Engineering Lab strongly preferred. Design background / education desired to support the MRB process.
Preferred Qualifications: Test Maintenance or Engineering Lab strongly preferred.
